ST ENGINEERING SECURES NEW ASIAN COUNTER-DRONE DEPLOYMENTS FOR AIR DEFENCE AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION

ST Engineering’s Digital Systems business has secured new counter-drone deployments in Asia outside Singapore, covering both an air defence application and the protection of multiple critical infrastructure sites, as the Singapore-listed technology and engineering group continues to expand its counter-UAS capabilities across the defence and public security sectors.

ST Engineering has announced that its Digital Systems business has secured new counter-drone deployments across Asia — outside of Singapore — over the past several months, reflecting what the company describes as growing demand for effective counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) solutions as defence and security agencies respond to the rapid evolution of drone-related threats. The new deployments include an air defence application and a separate deployment protecting multiple critical infrastructure sites, underscoring the adaptability of the technology across two distinct operational environments.

 

Low Jin Phang, Chief Operating Officer for Defence and Public Security, and President for Digital Systems at ST Engineering, said counter-drone capabilities had become an increasingly important part of modern defence and security operations. He said the deployments underscored the growing demand for integrated solutions against evolving drone threats and validated ST Engineering’s ability to deliver operationally proven counter-drone capabilities.

 

LAYERED DEFENCE ARCHITECTURE: SENSORS, AI COMMAND AND EFFECTORS

 

ST Engineering’s counter-drone solution is built on a layered defence architecture that combines advanced sensors, AI-enabled command-and-control, and a choice of soft-kill and hard-kill effectors to detect, track, identify and neutralise drone threats across a broad spectrum of platform types. The modular design is engineered for deployment across defence, public security and critical infrastructure protection missions, and has been developed through extensive testing and operational validation. The system draws on the group’s integrated expertise across sensors, communications systems, artificial intelligence and mission systems.
