Bell Textron Inc., a leading aerospace manufacturer and a subsidiary of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), has announced that the SUBARU Bell 412EPX has successfully received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification. This milestone paves the way for the aircraft to begin flight operations throughout the European Union, enhancing its ability to support critical missions across the region.

“We’re pleased the SUBARU Bell 412EPX has received EASA certification and look forward to seeing its growing success in the European region,” said Danny Maldonado, Bell’s Chief Commercial Officer. “This is a testament to the program’s dedication to bring the most advanced Bell 412 model and its unparalleled capabilities to different markets and serve new customers and their missions.”

New Orders Across Europe

Bell has secured several orders for the SUBARU Bell 412EPX in Europe, reflecting the aircraft’s growing appeal. Notably, one aircraft will be delivered to the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, where it will be used for vital civil protection, firefighting, medical transport, and natural disaster response missions.

Bell’s global sales success for the SUBARU Bell 412EPX extends beyond Europe. The company recently announced purchase agreements for the aircraft from San Diego Fire-Rescue, the Japan Coast Guard, and Japan’s Nara and Miyazaki Prefectures, further establishing the helicopter’s value in a wide array of public safety applications.

Unmatched Capabilities for Public Safety

The Bell 412 has been a trusted platform for over four decades, with eleven aircraft variants serving diverse critical missions worldwide, from firefighting and law enforcement to search-and-rescue operations. The SUBARU Bell 412EPX model stands out for its enhanced capabilities, including a maximum internal weight of 12,200 lbs. and an external weight capacity of 13,000 lbs. It can carry up to 5,000 lbs. with a cargo hook, making it an ideal choice for transporting large volumes of public safety supplies and equipment.

A key feature of the SUBARU Bell 412EPX is its robust main rotor gearbox with dry run capability, which allows for increased horsepower and more efficient performance during demanding public safety operations.

A Bright Future for the SUBARU Bell 412EPX
