ALPHARETTA — 04 November 2025 — Syensqo, a global leader in advanced materials, and Bell Textron, Inc., a leading aerospace and defence company, have announced a strategic collaboration to accelerate the industrialization of composite part manufacture
Bell has become an early adopter of Syensqo’s patented DDF1 manufacturing process, paired with the fast-cure aerospace prepreg CYCOM® EP2750. This combination has allowed Bell to quickly qualify and industrialise the technology, achieving high-rate production of aerospace composite components.
The new process delivers significant operational benefits, including reduced manufacturing costs and decreased reliance on autoclaves for curing small to medium-sized parts, freeing these systems for larger components. Environmental advantages are also notable, with reductions in energy consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Marc Doyle, Business Executive Vice-President of Syensqo Composite Materials, commented: “After more than 30 years, our Syensqo-Bell relationship continues to bring innovative solutions to benefit the composite industry. Our customer support model recognises that design, material, and manufacturing are interrelated and key to increasing composites adoption. Collaboration with customers is fundamental to achieving a more industrialised composites sector.”
This partnership highlights a growing trend in aerospace manufacturing, where advanced materials and innovative processes are leveraged to achieve both operational efficiency and sustainable outcomes.
