TAAG Angola Airlines has announced a significant expansion of its cargo services, doubling the weekly frequencies of flights from Luanda to Lagos, Brazzaville, and Johannesburg. This move is part of the airline’s strategic effort to strengthen its presence within the African air cargo market.
As of the first fortnight of July, TAAG Angola Airlines has increased its cargo flights to two weekly frequencies for each of these key routes:
– Luanda to Lagos (LOS), Nigeria
– Luanda to Brazzaville (BZV), Republic of Congo
– Luanda to Johannesburg (JNB), South Africa

The airline is leveraging its Boeing 737-800BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter), which can transport up to 24 tons of cargo across 11 pallet positions, accommodating 10 contoured 96in x 125in pallets. This capacity enhancement allows TAAG to offer over 100 tons of cargo capacity weekly on the Luanda-Johannesburg route and more than 45 tons on the Luanda-Lagos-Brazzaville route.
