Hamburg, Germany — TCI Aircraft Interiors has revealed Cornea, its next-generation In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system, at the 2025 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg. With this landmark launch, the company positions itself at the forefront of cabin innovation, combining advanced technology, sleek design, and a seamless user experience to redefine in-flight entertainment.
Crafted for both Business and Economy Class, Cornea promises a high-calibre passenger experience, offering stunning visuals, immersive audio, and intuitive controls. “Our mission has always been to enhance the passenger experience through thoughtful design and advanced technology,” said Müjdat Uludağ, CEO of TCI Aircraft Interiors. “Today, we are not just unveiling a new in-flight entertainment system — we are providing airlines with a powerful new resource in a supply chain environment still recovering from the pandemic. Combined with our in-house seat designs, Cornea will be certified and delivered swiftly.”
TCI has confirmed that Cornea will begin rolling out in the second half of 2026 as part of Turkish Airlines’ retrofit programmes. With the company’s ability to design and manufacture both Economy and Business Class seats in-house, the system will be certified in tandem with these products. This strategic integration not only streamlines implementation but also ensures compatibility and high performance across cabin classes.
A New Benchmark in the Sky
Cornea introduces tailored features for Business and Economy Class, setting a new standard for comfort and engagement at 35,000 feet.
Business Class passengers can expect 16″ and 22” multi-touch displays powered by 4K QD miniLED technology, delivering exceptional brightness, contrast, and colour. A 5” multi-touch handset provides complete system control, alongside noise-canceling audio, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and dual USB-C outlets.
Economy Class passengers are treated to the same premium 4K visuals via a 13” multi-touch display. The system includes a dual-pin audio jack and Bluetooth functionality for personal device pairing, offering a compact yet enriched entertainment experience.
Additionally, Cornea features upgradable, system-wide storage capacity, ensuring smooth operation, optimal speed, and robust data redundancy — key assets for long-haul performance and passenger satisfaction.
