The milestone was celebrated by employees at Textron’s Wichita factory. Textron Aviation Aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation has constructed its 400th Cessna Citation Latitude business jet, marking a significant milestone for the model launched in 2015.
The company revealed the 400th model of the midsize business aircraft had been rolled out of its factory in Wichita, Kansas in the US during a ceremony this week.
Todd McKee, senior vice president of integrated supply chain for Textron, said: “Thanks to the dedication and skill of our team, we are continuously innovating and enhancing the Citation jets’ design and manufacturing process, providing our customers with unmatched performance, productivity and profitability.”
The nine-passenger capacity model was certified in 2015 and, according to Textron, has been the industry’s most-delivered midsize business jet for the last eight years, partly thanks to its 2,700 nautical mile range.
The milestone announcement came as Textron also announced upgrades to the design of the Citation Latitude and Longitude models, with the Garmin G5000 avionics suite set to be fitted to new deliveries from 2025 and 2026 respectively.
