In December 2024, the Thales MRO facility was certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), marking a significant milestone in the company’s operations in India. The inauguration event was attended by Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Honourable Civil Aviation Minister of India, alongside key figures from Thales, including Yannick Assouad, Executive Vice-President, Avionics, and Thomas Got, Vice President, Aviation Global Services. This state-of-the-art facility is aligned with India’s vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-reliant India), offering a wide range of services, including the repair and maintenance of avionics components, directly supporting the needs of the country’s largest airlines. The new MRO hub brings Thales’s global expertise to the local market, enhancing service provision for airline customers in India.

The inauguration of this advanced centre is a proud moment for Indian aviation and exemplifies Indo-French collaboration, contributing to a self-reliant aviation industry.”
