VALUE GROUP BECOMES NEW BARIG BUSINESS PARTNER, STRENGTHENING PASSENGER SUPPORT ACROSS EUROPE

Value Group joins BARIG as a new business partner, bringing over 20 years of expertise in passenger services and advanced technological solutions to support airlines during irregular operations across Europe.

Value Group, a leading specialist in comprehensive passenger services across the aviation sector, has joined the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) as its newest business partner. The announcement, made in Frankfurt am Main on December 11, 2025, underscores the growing importance of coordinated passenger support, particularly during irregular operations triggered by weather, labour disputes, or other extraordinary disruptions.

BARIG Chairman and Executive Director Michael Hoppe highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that exceptional circumstances in air traffic demand flexible and reliable solutions. “With Value Group, we welcome a service provider with more than 20 years of expertise in this field. As a business partner, they contribute valuable know-how that helps optimise passenger processes.”

Thomas Sergnese, CEO and CCO of Value Group, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the shared goal of enhancing the passenger journey. He pointed to the company’s Artificial Human Intelligence approach, which blends advanced technology with human expertise. New digital tools will enable passengers to independently select accommodation and ground transport options during disruptions while providing airlines with real-time operational visibility. At the same time, Value Group’s in-person airport assistance ensures vital human support during critical moments of the travel experience.

Founded in Italy in 2001, Value Group delivers services at more than 300 airports in Europe, supported by a network of over 11,500 service providers. The company also maintains its own in-person assistance facilities in Spain, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

BARIG continues to represent the interests of more than 100 national and international airlines in scheduled, charter, low-cost, and air cargo operations. More information on BARIG topics and aviation news is available at www.barig.aero/en/news.
