AVIATION COALITION UNDERSCORES COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

Washington, DC, February 5, 2025 – In response to the devastating loss of lives aboard Flight 5342, PAT 25, and Med Jets Flight 056 last week, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and dozens of aviation stakeholders have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safety across the aviation sector.

“The entire aviation community is united in our grief and our commitment to taking action to ensure accidents like these never happen again,” the coalition stated in a joint declaration. “We never take safety for granted, and we never will.”

The coalition called on policymakers to prioritise funding and resources for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These agencies play pivotal roles in maintaining the integrity and safety of the U.S. aviation system.

“We will find out what caused the terrible tragedies last week. We will learn from them. We will undoubtedly make changes,” the statement continued. “And by making an incredibly safe system even safer, we will honour the passengers, crew members, and U.S. service members who have been lost.”

The aviation community’s message resonates as a powerful reminder of the industry’s dedication to continuous safety improvements and honouring those lost through actionable reform.
