VERTICAL AEROSPACE BOLSTERS BOARD WITH CAPITAL MARKETS EXPERTS TO DRIVE GROWTH AND CERTIFICATION GOALS

London, UK / New York, USA – May 2025 — Vertical Aerospace [NYSE: EVTL], the UK-headquartered pioneer in electric aviation, has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of three high-profile executives: James Keith (JK) Brown, Kris Haber, and Carsten Stendevad. The move signals a decisive step in advancing the company’s commercial strategy and accelerating its path to certification and profitability.

James Keith (JK) Brown is a seasoned investment executive with a proven track record of supporting growth-stage firms scale and reach market readiness.
Kris Haber has more than 33 years’ experience in corporate finance, business development and strategic buildups.
Carsten Stendevad is an experienced global finance leader who brings expertise in developing and executing on corporate and financial strategies.

These appointments follow a series of strategic developments at Vertical as the company enters a critical phase in its journey. With its sights set on achieving cash break-even by 2030, Vertical is actively positioning itself to capitalise on recent technical and operational progress — including the upcoming completion of its piloted test flight programme.

The appointments are effective as of 30 April 2025 for Mr. Haber, and 14 May 2025 for Mr. Brown and Mr. Stendevad. Their combined experience is expected to support Vertical in refining its financial strategy and navigating the capital-intensive landscape of advanced air mobility as it gears up for commercialisation.
