EMBRAER JOINS POLISH NEW MOBILITY ASSOCIATION TO ACCELERATE AVIATION DECARBONISATION

Warsaw, Poland — 27 May 2025. Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace giant renowned for its regional aircraft and commitment to innovation, has officially joined the Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM). This strategic collaboration strengthens Embraer’s sustainability agenda and signals a pivotal step forward in the decarbonisation of regional air transport across Central and Eastern Europe.

By partnering with PSNM—the largest industry body promoting electromobility and hydrogen technologies in Poland—Embraer aims to drive meaningful progress toward net-zero emissions in aviation by 2050. The alliance is focused on advancing key initiatives, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) development, new propulsion technologies such as electric and hybrid systems, and improving operational efficiencies in the aviation sector.

“We are pleased to welcome Embraer among the members of PSNM,” said Aleksander Rajch, Management Board Member at PSNM. “As a serious partner with advanced technologies, Embraer has the potential to accelerate aviation’s transformation.

Regional aviation is uniquely positioned to lead this change due to its operational flexibility and openness to innovation.”

The global aviation sector currently contributes approximately 2.5% of global CO emissions, with passenger volumes expected to double by 2045. This growing demand underscores the urgency for cleaner, more sustainable transport solutions. Embraer’s collaboration with PSNM aims to harness Poland’s regional airports—more than 450 across Europe—to establish the country as a leader in sustainable air mobility.

“Building on more than 25 years of presence in Poland, we are strengthening our contribution to sustainable aviation through this partnership with PSNM,” said Marie-Louise Phillippe, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Europe and Central Asia at Embraer. “We are focused on delivering modern technologies that reduce aviation’s carbon footprint, and PSNM’s expertise is instrumental to achieving real impact.”

The company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability is evident in its broad portfolio of research and development projects. These include innovations led by its subsidiary, Eve Air Mobility, which is advancing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to support urban and regional zero-emission transport.

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), SAF could contribute to 65% of aviation emissions reductions by 2050, with an additional 13% from new propulsion technologies and the balance from operational improvements and offset mechanisms. The integration of aviation with zero-emission road transport and digital mobility ecosystems is also seen as crucial.

This membership not only enhances Embraer’s European footprint but also opens new pathways for collaboration with Polish institutions, tech companies, and airport operators, all focused on growing sustainable regional air networks.

About PSNM

The Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM) is the largest organisation shaping the electromobility and hydrogen transport landscape in Poland and the CEE region. Representing over 250 companies, PSNM is the second-largest association of its kind in Europe. The organisation serves as a hub for stakeholders across the transport and energy sectors, fostering innovation and policy frameworks to enable the dynamic growth of zero- and low-emission technologies.
