PARAMOUNT AVIATION ACADEMY: BUILDING CONFIDENT, SKILLED PILOTS FROM THE GROUND UP

At AEROSA 2025, World Airnews met Kaela, Director of Paramount Aviation Academy, a dynamic flight training institution based at Rand Airport. Established in 2017, Paramount offers a full training pathway—from Private Pilot Licence (PPL) to Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)—with a strong emphasis on hands-on aircraft training using Piper and Cessna aircraft.

“We believe in real flying, not just simulation,” said Kaela, who is also a qualified instructor. While she now focuses on running the academy, her team of experienced airline pilots ensures that students receive world-class training.

Paramount’s reputation speaks for itself, with most new students referred by graduates across Africa. “I get messages almost daily from people saying a friend trained with us,” Kaela shared. With the capacity to train up to 50 students at a time, Paramount offers comprehensive support—accommodation, daily meals, and transport between student housing and the airport.

What sets Paramount apart is its holistic approach. “Safety is our number one value,” Kaela emphasised. “We’re here to produce confident, responsible aviators ready to take on the skies.”
