PARIS, 8 July 2025 — At the 2025 Paris Air Show, Safran USA solidified its position as a key player in the U.S. aerospace, space, and defence sectors, hosting high-level engagements with state and federal representatives, while showcasing its latest innovations to a global audience.
Held at Le Bourget Airport, the week-long event provided Safran with a vital platform to deepen relationships with U.S. stakeholders. Leading the U.S.-focused delegation were Peter Lengyel, President & CEO of Safran USA, and Read Van de Water, Senior Vice President of External Affairs.
Among key meetings was an engagement with Senator Jeanne Shaheen, who led a delegation from New Hampshire, where Safran maintains a strong presence through Safran Defence & Space, Inc. Optronics in Bedford and Safran Aerospace Composites in Rochester, employing 370 people in total.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt visited the Safran booth to discuss the ongoing test cell revitalization project at Tinker Air Force Base, where Safran Test Cells is actively involved.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin also made a stop, highlighting the strategic importance of Safran’s new Safran Defense & Space, Inc. headquarters in Arlington, and the broader role of Safran USA, headquartered in Virginia, in coordinating the Group’s U.S. operations.
Further meetings included discussions with Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe and senior representatives from the Departments of Commerce in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Washington, and other economic and workforce development agencies across Georgia, Ohio, and South Carolina.
Safran also met with senior Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials, underlining its commitment to regulatory collaboration and aviation advancement.
The 2025 Paris Air Show served as a powerful stage for Safran to reaffirm its role as a trusted U.S. partner, committed to technology advancement, job creation, and economic development in key regions across the United States.
