Frankfurt am Main, 14 August 2025 – The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has expanded its business partner network with the addition of CMAC Group, a specialist in ground transport, accommodation and passenger disruption management solutions. The move brings a seasoned service provider – with more than 18 years of industry experience – into closer cooperation with over 100 airlines represented by BARIG.
Headquartered in the UK and active in more than 100 countries, CMAC Group coordinates travel and accommodation for over five million passengers annually. Its network of more than 13,000 global transport partners enables swift response and flexibility amid flight cancellations, delays and diversions. A key component of its service is Smartlink, a self-service booking technology that allows airlines to quickly secure hotel rooms and transport services during operational disruptions.
Wim Kanon, Managing Director at CMAC Group, emphasised the importance of this new partnership: “We are proud to have been delivering continuity and care during disruption for over 18 years. By joining BARIG, we have a stronger platform to collaborate with airlines operating in the region and further develop our industry-wide solutions.”
Through its inclusion in the BARIG network, CMAC aims to reinforce its European growth strategy and offer airlines enhanced tools to support passengers in exceptional situations.
Michael Hoppe, BARIG Chairman and Executive Director, welcomed the new member: “We are delighted to welcome CMAC as an innovative partner that helps airlines improve passenger and ground staff experience in exceptional situations. Its presence in our network supports our ongoing efforts to improve processes and service delivery across the aviation sector.”
BARIG continues to serve as a central voice for both national and international airlines operating in Germany and plays a key role in advocating for improved operational conditions within the aviation industry.
