H55’s ALL-ELECTRIC B23 ENERGETIC TOUR PROVES ELECTRIC AVIATION IS READY FOR TAKE-OFF

Sion, Switzerland / Hamptons, New York – 19 August 2025 — H55, the Swiss electric aviation innovator born from the Solar Impulse project, has concluded its groundbreaking eight-state “Across America” tour, successfully showcasing its Bristell B23 Energic all-electric aircraft to the U.S. aviation market. Over four months, the aircraft flew 192 passenger missions, visiting 25 airports across Florida, Alabama, Arizona, Nevada, California, Colorado, Wisconsin and New York—achieving zero technical issues and providing over 63 flight hours of flawless performance.

The tour not only proved the commercial viability of electric aviation, but also sparked immediate sales traction across flight schools and private owners. H55 has secured 100 aircraft orders year-to-date, with several large fleet contracts nearing completion, firmly positioning the company as a market leader in clean, quiet and cost-efficient aviation.

A Commercial Turning Point

The B23 Energic’s tour focused on real-world demonstrations with flight schools, pilots, aviation universities, the U.S. Air Force and industry stakeholders. H55 Co-Founder and Executive Chairman André Borschberg said: “The smiles on pilots’ faces after each test flight said it all—no noise, no vibration, no emissions, and far lower costs. Some placed orders on the spot. Electric aviation, especially the B23, is giving flight schools exactly what they’ve been looking for—and more.”

Key highlights from the tour included:

  • Noise reduction: 10–15 dB quieter than piston aircraft (around one-tenth of noise intensity).
  • Operating cost savings: Taxi and run-up for only ~$0.25 in electricity versus ~$13 in fuel.
  • Reliability: Zero technical issues across all 192 flights.
  • Performance: Strong climb rates even at 9,524 ft density altitude and 36°C — outperforming many combustion-powered trainers.

Gregory Blatt, H55 Co-Founder, added: “We operated in extreme heat and high-altitude conditions—without cancelling a single flight. That level of reliability is not common with traditional combustion trainers.”

Electric Aviation Market Takes Off

According to Roots Analysis, the global electric aircraft market is projected to reach US$80 billion by 2035. With EASA and FAA certification expected in 2026 and 2027, H55’s Electric Propulsion System holds a significant first-mover advantage. The company’s revenue model extends beyond aircraft sales to propulsion system licensing, battery replacements and aftermarket support, with flight schools alone representing a demand of several hundred units.

H55 is strategically targeting the flight training sector before moving into larger aircraft segments, while competitors lag behind in regulatory readiness and real-world performance evidence.

Next Stop: Canada and Beyond

Following the tour finale in the Hamptons, H55 is heading to Montréal from 25–29 August to inaugurate its Canadian facilities and present the B23 Energic to local operators, government officials and investors. The company will also expand its Ambassador Programme, inviting aviation innovators and educators to help accelerate the global adoption of electric flight.
