HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — October, 2025: Boeing [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a series of multiyear contracts valued at approximately $2.7 billion to produce additional Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) seekers, significantly boosting production through 2030 to meet rising global demand for air and missile defence systems.
Under the agreements, Boeing will deliver more than 3,000 seekers at an annual rate of up to 750 units, ensuring sustained output to support U.S. and allied defence requirements. The company is working closely with Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor, and the U.S. Army to expand capacity and meet new performance targets for the PAC-3 interceptor.
“Our team has never been better positioned to answer the nation’s call for greater air and missile defence,” said Jim Bryan, Executive Director of Boeing Integrated Air & Missile Defense. “These multiyear awards recognise the progress we’ve made and will allow us to meet growing global demand for the PAC-3 seeker.”
Boeing-built PAC-3 seekers provide critical capabilities for the Patriot interceptor system, enabling it to identify, track and engage advanced threats—including hypersonic weapons, ballistic and cruise missiles, and hostile aircraft. Demand for these interceptors has surged amid escalating conflicts and evolving threat environments across Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.
In 2025, Boeing achieved new production milestones, setting records for both monthly and 12-month rolling averages, with a target of 650 to 700 seekers delivered by year’s end. Increased capacity has been driven by significant internal investments, production line modernisation, strengthened supplier partnerships, and the completion of a 35,000-square-foot factory expansion at the company’s Huntsville facilities.
Since 2000, Boeing has delivered more than 6,000 PAC-3 seekers to the U.S. Army as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. Today, 17 countries rely on the PAC-3 system to defend populations and critical infrastructure from evolving global threats.
As one of the world’s leading aerospace companies and the United States’ top exporter, Boeing continues to advance defence technology that supports safety, security and operational readiness worldwide.
