New Delhi, October, 2025 – Embraer (NYSE: ERJ / B3: EMBR3), a leading global aerospace company, has inaugurated its new India office at WorldMark 4, Aerocity, New Delhi. The opening marks a major milestone in the company’s two-decade presence in India and signals an expanded role across all its business units — commercial aviation, defence, business aviation, services and support, and urban air mobility (UAM).
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Brazil’s Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Brazil’s Minister of Defence Jose Mucio, India’s Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, and the Ambassador of Brazil to India, Kenneth Felix Haczynski da Nobrega.
The new corporate office will serve as Embraer’s central hub in India, supporting growth across procurement, supply chain, and engineering functions. The company’s investment underscores its long-term commitment to India’s aerospace and defence sectors and aligns with the country’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
Embraer’s association with India dates back 20 years, when its first E-Jets began operations in 2005, enhancing regional connectivity. Today, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft across 11 types serve the Indian Air Force, government agencies, business jet operators, and commercial airline Star Air.
“The opening of our New Delhi corporate office marks a bold new chapter for Embraer in India – a market central to our global vision,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer. “This office spans all our business units and will strengthen collaboration with partners, customers, and suppliers. We are committed to bringing world-class technology and innovation to support India’s aerospace growth, advance self-reliance, and help realize its ambition of becoming a global aviation hub.”
Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, added: “Our office inauguration here in New Delhi reflects our ambition for further growth in the country. Our aircraft have earned a reputation for performance and reliability, and we are confident that our multi-mission medium transport aircraft, the C-390 Millennium, is perfectly suited to bring additional capabilities to the Indian Air Force.”
Embraer’s expanded presence also reflects the deepening of India–Brazil relations, reinforcing mutual goals for collaboration and shared technological progress.
In the defence sector, Embraer’s ERJ145 platform forms the basis of the Indian Air Force’s Netra AEW&C aircraft, while the Legacy 600 serves for VIP and government transport. Embraer is also positioning the C-390 Millennium as the leading candidate for India’s Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) programme.
In commercial aviation, Embraer’s E-Jets continue to strengthen regional connectivity, opening routes in tier-two and tier-three cities. Star Air, an all-Embraer operator flying E175 and ERJ145 aircraft, continues to expand its operations nationwide.
Eve Air Mobility, Embraer’s urban air mobility subsidiary, is also building partnerships in India. Its collaborations with JetSetGo and Hunch Mobility aim to advance eVTOL and UAM infrastructure — with plans to make Bangalore the first regional hub for electric commuter flights.
