THE FUTURE OF AUTONOMOUS FIGHTERS IS COMING TO ROME

GA-ASI Brings Uncrewed Fighter Fleet into Focus at International Fighter Conference 2025

SAN DIEGO – 03 November 2025 — General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), the global leader in uncrewed aircraft systems, will take centre stage at the 25th anniversary of the International Fighter Conference (IFC) in Rome as the event’s only Four-Star Lead Partner. This participation underscores GA-ASI’s commitment to shaping the next generation of autonomous fighter aircraft.

The company’s expanding line-up of unmanned combat jets — including the MQ-20 Avenger®, XQ-67A Off-Board Sensing Station, and YFQ-42A Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) — is redefining air combat. These systems represent the forefront of autonomy development, manned-unmanned teaming, and scalable, cost-effective production.

GA-ASI’s Gambit Series of modular and scalable uncrewed fighters is designed to help the U.S. Air Force and its allies adapt rapidly to the demands of future combat. Delivering on its public commitment, the company launched the YFQ-42A CCA in August and continues flight operations across a growing production fleet.

“The YFQ-42A is a revolutionary aircraft, and the fleet is in production and in the air today,” said David R. Alexander, president of GA-ASI. “This isn’t a ‘wait and see’ moment. We’re flying. We’re delivering. And we’re advancing this future of combat aviation, the same way we have for more than three decades.”

Since 1992, GA-ASI has delivered more than 1,300 combat aircraft to U.S. and international forces, logging over 9 million flight hours. Its aircraft — Predator®, Reaper®, Gray Eagle®, SkyGuardian®, and SeaGuardian® — continue to define the medium-altitude, long-endurance UAS category.

The MQ-20 Avenger, which first flew in 2009, remains a key test bed for autonomy and mission systems, integrating advanced software from U.S. government programmes, industry leaders, and GA-ASI’s own development teams.

At IFC 2025, taking place 4–6 November in Rome, attendees will be able to view a full-scale model of the YFQ-42A CCA and hear more about the company’s innovations in uncrewed fighter technologies.
