AVOLON DELIVERS 50TH AIRCRAFT IN JETSMART’S FLEET

Avolon delivers JetSMART’s 50th fleet aircraft, completing four A320neo family leases and supporting the South American carrier’s regional growth and fleet modernisation strategy.

Dublin – 8 December 2025 – Avolon has marked a key milestone with the delivery of the 50th aircraft in JetSMART’s fleet, strengthening the South American low-cost carrier’s continued expansion across the region. The A321neo is the final delivery in a package of four A320neo family aircraft leased from Avolon to support JetSMART’s fleet replacement and growth requirements.

JetSMART currently operates to more than 50 destinations from its hubs in Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia. The airline continues to benefit from rising demand in the Latin America and Caribbean region, where passenger traffic increased by 7.2% year-to-date in October, according to IATA.

The A320neo family brings notable environmental and operational advantages, offering 20% lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions compared to previous-generation single-aisle aircraft, alongside a 50% reduction in noise footprint. As of 30 September 2025, Avolon held 347 A320neo family aircraft on order, positioning the company strongly to meet long-term airline fleet requirements.

Paul Geaney, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Avolon, said the delivery highlights both companies’ shared ambitions. “We are excited to share this milestone with JetSMART and celebrate their phenomenal growth story since their launch in 2016. The four aircraft we are leasing will support JetSMART’s growth strategy to better connect Latin America, one of the world’s fastest growing aviation markets. With our large orderbook, we are well-placed to support our airline customers’ growth plans and refleeting needs into the next decade.”

JetSMART CEO Estuardo Ortiz welcomed the addition of new-technology aircraft to the fleet. “This delivery marks a significant milestone in our journey, and our growth reflects the strength of our long-term vision for the business. The addition of these new-technology aircraft enhances our operational efficiency and gives us the flexibility to expand our network, delivering low-fare travel to passengers across South America. We look forward to continuing to expand our partnership with Avolon to support our future growth and further strengthen our position as one of South America’s leading low-cost carriers.”
