United Aircraft Corporation will debut the Il-114-300 and import-substituted Superjet 100 abroad at Wings India 2026, highlighting Russian-built regional aircraft for the Indian market.
United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec State Corporation, will present its latest regional aircraft programmes abroad for the first time, showcasing the Il-114-300 turboprop and the import-substituted Superjet 100 (SJ-100) at Wings India 2026. The exhibition will take place in Hyderabad from 28 to 31 January.
The Superjet 100 will appear in the static display wearing a special livery incorporating elements of the Indian national flag.
Built using serial production technologies, the aircraft is equipped entirely with Russian systems and components, including PD-8 engines produced by United Engine Corporation. As part of the import substitution programme, the SJ-100 also features a Russian-made interior, with the new serially produced cabin being shown to the public for the first time.
Alongside the jet, UAC will also display the Russian-built Il-114-300 turboprop with its passenger interior installed. The aircraft, powered by TV7-117ST-01 engines from the United Engine Corporation, will participate in the exhibition’s flying programme, providing visitors with a live demonstration of its capabilities.
Rostec highlighted India’s strategic importance as a long-standing partner, noting existing cooperation under initiatives such as Make in India. While Russian combat aircraft have traditionally attracted strong interest, Rostec emphasised the growth potential of civil aviation cooperation. India’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) programme, aimed at expanding regional connectivity and increasing the number of regional airports, was cited as a key enabler for the commercial prospects of the SJ-100 and Il-114-300 in the Indian market.
At the UAC stand, a range of advanced Russian civil aviation developments will be presented, complemented by roundtable discussions involving UAC specialists on the future development of India’s aviation sector. Regional airlines have already shown strong interest in UAC’s civil aircraft, and with the support of the Russian Trade Mission in India, targeted demonstrations of the SJ-100 and Il-114-300 for Indian aviation professionals are planned during the exhibition.
The import-substituted Superjet 100 displayed at Wings India 2026 first flew on 5 September 2025, becoming the first aircraft built using serial technologies in the target configuration intended for customer delivery.
Designed to strengthen regional air transport, the Il-114-300 is capable of autonomous operations from small airfields with limited infrastructure and from short runways. It is being certified for use across a wide range of climates, from Arctic and Siberian conditions to mountainous regions and tropical, subtropical and hot environments.
Wings India 2026 is Asia’s largest civil aviation event, jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, the Government of India, the Airports Authority of India and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.
