EMBRAER TO SHOWCASE E195-E2 AND E175 AT WINGS INDIA 2026

Embraer will place its commercial aircraft portfolio at the centre of its participation at Wings India 2026, with the E195-E2 and E175 scheduled for display from 28 January in Hyderabad. The company’s presence at the event reflects its focus on regional connectivity and operational efficiency within India’s expanding aviation market.

The E195-E2 will be presented on static display. The aircraft builds on the first-generation E-Jets platform and incorporates updated aerodynamics, a new wing design and additional technologies aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions. In typical single-class configurations, the E195-E2 seats between 132 and 146 passengers, positioning it in the sub-150-seat segment for short- and medium-haul operations.

According to Embraer, the E195-E2 is certified to operate with blends of up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and its engines have demonstrated operability using 100% SAF. The manufacturer states that the aircraft delivers a reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions per seat compared with earlier-generation E-Jets.

Embraer also highlights long-term demand in India for aircraft in the 80- to 146-seat category, where the E2 family is intended to support airlines seeking right-sized capacity and flexibility to open routes linking secondary and tertiary cities.

Alongside the E195-E2, Embraer will display the E175, a regional jet already operating in India as part of the Star Air fleet. With seating for up to 88 passengers, the E175 is positioned for regional operations and is widely used in other markets, including the United States, where it forms a substantial portion of regional airline fleets. Recent updates to the aircraft’s avionics and cabin are intended to align the passenger experience more closely with that of the E2 family.

Commenting on the company’s participation, Adity Shekhar, Regional Vice President, Sales at Embraer, said the E-Jets family offers opportunities to strengthen connectivity from tier-two and tier-three cities in India by supporting new routes and network growth.

Embraer reports that it has delivered more than 1,900 E-Jets and E-Jets E2 aircraft worldwide, which are operated by over 80 airlines in 50 countries. In India, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft of various types are currently in service across military, government, business aviation and regional airline operations.

As Aviation Innovation Partner for Wings India 2026, Embraer will also present its wider range of products and services at Booth 9B, Hall B, during the event.
