Honeywell and Kortech sign an MoU to advance automation and digital infrastructure development across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, supporting smart cities, transport and data centres.
Honeywell has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kortech, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding, to collaborate on the automation and digitalisation of critical infrastructure projects across the Middle East and Egypt.

The agreement was announced in Dubai on 01 February 2026 and was signed in the presence of Eng. Hassan Allam, Group CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, and Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell Building Automation.

The collaboration brings together Honeywell’s expertise in automation, digital technologies, software and analytics with Kortech’s turnkey infrastructure and technology delivery capabilities. The companies plan to combine their respective strengths to support digital transformation, improve infrastructure resilience and enhance energy efficiency.

The planned collaboration will focus on infrastructure developments including data centres, building infrastructure, major transportation projects and smart city initiatives across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Nabil Cheqroun, Vice President and General Manager for Honeywell Building Automation in META, said Honeywell remains focused on supporting regional development through the deployment of connected automation and control technologies designed to support future infrastructure requirements. He noted that combining Honeywell’s technology capabilities with Kortech’s regional engineering and infrastructure knowledge is intended to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the region.

Zayan Waziry, Chief Techno-Commercial Officer of Kortech, said the collaboration strengthens Kortech’s ability to deliver technology-focused infrastructure solutions at scale. He added that working with Honeywell expands the company’s service offering across transportation, building infrastructure and data centre initiatives. He noted that combining global technology innovation with local delivery expertise positions the partnership to support evolving infrastructure demands across the region.
