Boeing signs its largest landing gear exchange agreement at Singapore Airshow, covering more than 75 Singapore Airlines Group 737 MAX and 787 aircraft.
Boeing has announced the largest landing gear exchange agreement in its history during the Singapore Airshow, covering more than 75 aircraft across the Boeing 737 MAX and 787 fleets operated by the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group.
Under the agreement, Boeing will provide landing gear exchanges designed to offer overhaul scheduling flexibility, supporting optimisation of landing gear service life while reducing aircraft downtime.
“Our relationship with the SIA Group is built on delivering dependable solutions,” said William Ampofo, Senior Vice President, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services. He added that the combination of Boeing’s global inventory and distribution capability with airline maintenance planning enables faster delivery of parts closer to operational locations, supporting fleet reliability and reducing aircraft downtime.
Boeing’s Landing Gear Exchange programme provides airlines with managed access to serviceable landing gear assemblies through a global inventory and partner support network. The programme reduces the need for airlines to maintain large on-site spare gear inventories, shortens maintenance-related aircraft-on-ground periods and supports dispatch reliability across high-utilisation route networks.
The agreement forms part of Boeing’s broader aftermarket services portfolio, which includes parts distribution, repair management and logistics support designed to improve fleet readiness and reduce maintenance-related operational disruptions.
Boeing develops, manufactures and supports commercial aircraft, defence systems and space systems for customers globally, supporting operations across more than 150 countries.
