Dassault Aviation will unveil the Falcon 10X on March 10, as flight testing continues toward certification of its 7,500 nm ultra-long-range business jet.
Unveiling scheduled for March 10
Dassault Aviation will formally unveil its new Falcon 10X business jet on March 10.
The rollout will be followed by a period of flight testing as the French manufacturer works toward securing type certification ahead of customer deliveries.
Sales momentum and backlog
The introduction of the Falcon 10X comes as Dassault reports increased order activity across its business jet range. The company stated that in 2025 it booked 31 orders for Falcon business jets, up from 26 in 2024.
At the end of the year, Dassault’s business jet backlog stood at 73 aircraft, compared with 79 the previous year.
Dassault had previously planned first deliveries of the four-zone, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X in 2025. However, the schedule was affected by supply chain challenges and the company’s focus on increased demand for Rafale combat aircraft.
Performance and powerplant
The twin-engine Falcon 10X is designed with a range of 7,500 nautical miles. It is projected to cruise at Mach 0.85, with a top speed of Mach 0.925, and operate at a maximum certified altitude of 51,000 ft.
Powering the aircraft is the Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X engine. Rolls-Royce completed its own flight trials of the Pearl 10X in 2024 and delivered the first engines to Dassault the same year. The engine is rated at 18,000 lb of thrust and is based on Rolls-Royce’s Advance 2 demonstrator high-pressure core.
