Purchase Agreement Finalised at VAI Verticon 2026
Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has announced a signed purchase agreement for a third Bell 429 aircraft with QuikTrip Corporation. The announcement, made during VAI Verticon 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, marks a further expansion of QuikTrip’s existing rotary-wing fleet, which currently includes two Bell 429s and a Bell 407GXi. The new aircraft is slated for use in corporate transport operations to support the company’s ongoing business expansion.
Performance and Operational Requirements
The Bell 429 remains a prominent choice for corporate and business travel due to its combination of performance, cabin volume, and safety features. Stuart Sullivan, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for QuikTrip, noted that the aircraft provides the precise mix of attributes required to support the company’s logistics and operational needs. The aircraft features a spacious cabin configured for six passengers, designed to facilitate ease of travel for executive requirements.
Avionics and Technical Specifications
Technically, the Bell 429 is supported by the BasixPro software suite and a precise guidance system. These systems are engineered to perform essential in-flight calculations and provide pilots with critical information displays at a moment’s notice, enhancing situational awareness during complex missions. Lane Evans, Bell’s Managing Director for North America Sales, emphasised that the model has proven to be the correct solution for QuikTrip’s established business requirements.
