Agricultural aircraft to be presented at major Brazilian agribusiness event

BOTUCATU, BRAZIL – Embraer will exhibit its Ipanema 203 agricultural aircraft at Show Safra Mato Grosso 2026, taking place from 23 to 27 March at the Parque Tecnológico da Fundação Rio Verde de Pesquisas in Lucas do Rio Verde.

Aircraft performance and operational application

The Ipanema 203 is positioned as a leading aircraft in Brazil’s agricultural aviation sector and is powered by ethanol. The aircraft is capable of spraying more than 200 hectares per hour, supporting aerial application across crops such as soybeans, corn, and cotton.

The model is designed to deliver consistent application at constant speed while avoiding soil compaction and reducing the risk of pest spread through ground contact.

Regional agricultural demand

Mato Grosso is identified as Brazil’s largest grain-producing region and a major user of agricultural aviation, with demand driven by large-scale crop production requiring high operational efficiency.

The event is expected to attract more than 190,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors, with on-site runway facilities supporting aircraft operations during the exhibition.

Flight safety and training initiatives

Embraer noted its continued focus on flight safety within agricultural aviation, including initiatives related to preventive inspections, operational best practices, and training. The company stated that all agricultural pilot training classes in Brazil include participation in safety briefings delivered by the Ipanema customer support team.

Industry engagement

The exhibition forms part of Embraer’s broader engagement with the agricultural aviation sector, supporting operators and stakeholders through participation in industry events and operational support initiatives.
