AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 is set to host a record number of exhibitors, alongside an expanded airshow programme and new visitor engagement formats aimed at broadening participation across the aviation community.
RECORD EXHIBITOR PARTICIPATION
The international general aviation trade fair, taking place from 22 to 25 April 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, will feature approximately 820 exhibitors from more than 50 countries—marking the highest participation level in the event’s history.
The exhibition continues to position itself as a central platform for general aviation, business aviation and air sports, with a broad range of aircraft and technologies on display.
NEW GUIDED TOURS FOR TARGETED INDUSTRY INSIGHT
For the first time, AERO will introduce structured guided tours, allowing trade visitors to navigate the exhibition through curated themes. These include sustainable aviation, innovative propulsion systems, trade show innovations, and aviation career pathways.
The tours are designed to provide direct engagement with exhibitors and more focused insight into key industry developments.
EXPANDED STATIC DISPLAY AND INFRASTRUCTURE ADVANTAGE
The Friedrichshafen venue continues to offer direct access between the exhibition grounds and Lake Constance Airport, allowing aircraft to taxi directly into display areas and halls.
In 2026, the static display will expand to include 35 aircraft, representing the largest such display in the event’s history.
AIRSHOW PROGRAMME ENHANCED FOR PUBLIC DAY
The traditional AERO airshow, scheduled for Saturday 25 April, will feature an expanded programme aimed at both industry visitors and the public.
The display will include parachute demonstrations, formation flying, and helicopter aerobatics, concluding with high-performance manoeuvres by the Flying Bulls team. A post-show meet-and-greet with participating pilots is also planned.
Saturday will serve as a dedicated visitor and family day, with additional programming and ticket offerings aimed at increasing public engagement.
ENGAGING NEW AUDIENCES THROUGH CREATOR FORMATS
AERO 2026 will also introduce new “Creator Panels”, bringing aviation influencers and digital content creators into the programme. These sessions are designed to engage younger audiences and reflect the growing role of digital platforms in aviation communication and outreach.
The initiative includes live discussions, podcast sessions, and opportunities for attendees to interact directly with content creators.
