APOC Aviation has acquired a 15-year-old Airbus A320-200 for teardown, reinforcing its component inventory as demand for used serviceable material (USM) remains strong across the narrowbody market.
FLEET ACQUISITION AND TEARDOWN PLAN
APOC Aviation, a Netherlands-based trading and leasing specialist in aircraft components, engines and landing gear, has purchased Airbus A320-200 (MSN 4533) from FTAI for disassembly. The aircraft, most recently operated by Jetstar Pacific Airlines, is scheduled for teardown in May at the Tarmac Aerosave facility in Toulouse-Francazal, France.
The acquisition forms part of APOC’s ongoing strategy to secure mature and serviceable assets to support airline maintenance requirements.
EXPANDING COMPONENT SUPPORT CAPABILITY
According to Craig Skilton, VP Components at APOC Aviation, the teardown will contribute directly to the company’s expanding component pool, supporting a broad customer base ranging from major carriers to operators maintaining legacy fleets.
The recovered components will be integrated into APOC’s inventory following repair and recertification, supporting both outright sales and exchange programmes. The company also confirmed the launch of a new exchange service, drawing on stock from recent A319 teardown activity alongside the newly acquired A320 components.
SUSTAINED DEMAND IN THE NARROWBODY MARKET
APOC reports continued demand for used serviceable material, particularly within the narrowbody segment, where operators seek cost-effective maintenance solutions amid ongoing supply chain constraints.
In addition to component support, the company offers landing gear and engine solutions across both narrowbody and widebody fleets, including CFM56 and V2500 engine variants for lease, exchange, and parts provisioning.
STRATEGIC INVESTMENT IN DISASSEMBLY PROGRAMMES
The transaction was coordinated by APOC’s major assets division, with the company signalling continued investment in teardown and asset recovery programmes.
This strategy is supported by private equity backing, enabling APOC to scale its disassembly operations and strengthen its global market position through expanded inventory and service capability.
