The KC-390 Millennium completed a 70-day global demonstration tour across 11 countries, showcasing its operational flexibility and performance in diverse military mission environments.
Gavião Peixoto, 20 April 2026 – The KC-390 Millennium has completed an extensive international demonstration campaign, covering more than 47,000 nautical miles across 11 countries and logging approximately 140 flight hours.
The aircraft returned to Brazil following its final appearance at the FIDAE airshow in Chile, concluding a 70-day operational tour.
EXTENSIVE OPERATIONAL TESTING
Over the course of 54 flights, the KC-390 operated in a wide range of environmental conditions, from Arctic cold to hot and humid climates in Asia. The campaign was designed to evaluate performance across diverse operational scenarios representative of real-world military missions.
The aircraft conducted multiple cargo operations, including the transport of containers, vehicles, medical modules, and palletised loads. These demonstrations highlighted its flexibility across both tactical and logistical roles.
Each mission contributed to validating the aircraft’s operational readiness, with consistent performance reported throughout the campaign.
GLOBAL CAMPAIGN FOOTPRINT
The demonstration tour began at the Singapore Airshow in January and included stops in key regions such as Europe, North America, and South America. Countries visited during the campaign included Poland, Sweden, and the United States.
The tour concluded with participation at FIDAE, one of Latin America’s leading aerospace exhibitions, before the aircraft returned to Gavião Peixoto, home to Embraer Defense & Security.
PROGRAMME MATURITY AND POSITIONING
The campaign reinforced the KC-390’s operational maturity and its positioning within the military transport segment. Key attributes demonstrated during the tour included interoperability, mission flexibility, and efficiency across a range of operational environments.
The aircraft is designed to support modern air forces with multi-mission capability, including cargo transport, humanitarian operations, and logistical support in complex environments.
