HONEYWELL ENHANCES SAFETY SUITE 2.0 WITH REAL-TIME WORKSITE SAFETY CAPABILITIES

Honeywell has launched enhanced capabilities for Safety Suite 2.0, providing real-time visibility, forecasting tools and improved safety management features for industrial operations.

CHARLOTTE, USA – Honeywell has announced enhanced capabilities for its Safety Suite 2.0 software platform, expanding the system’s ability to provide real-time visibility into portable gas detection device fleets and workplace safety performance across industrial operations.

Expanded visibility for safety management

The updated platform is designed for use in industries including refining, chemicals, utilities and emergency response operations. According to Honeywell, the enhancements add historical data analysis, forecasting capabilities and improved dashboards, allowing organisations to monitor worker safety, compliance performance and equipment inventory through a unified software environment.

The company said the additional functionality enables safety leaders to identify potential hazards earlier, track safety trends and support more informed operational decision-making.

Combining real-time and historical insights

Honeywell stated that Safety Suite 2.0 enables managers to review historical alarm events and identify recurring risk patterns from a centralised location. The information can support post-incident investigations, compliance monitoring and workforce training initiatives.

The platform also introduces a range of operational enhancements, including customised dashboards that consolidate exposure data, fleet health information and compliance status into a single view. Real-time alerts can be sent directly to personnel to notify them of critical events or device maintenance requirements, such as calibration and bump testing.

Supporting connected safety operations

Additional features include real-time display of gas detector readings from workers across multiple sites, providing immediate visibility into operating conditions. Honeywell has also incorporated guided and automated workflows covering device onboarding, assignment, calibration and return-to-inventory processes, aimed at improving asset tracking and operational efficiency.

The company noted that connected safety technologies can help organisations identify incidents earlier and potentially reduce the financial and operational impact of safety-related events.

Part of Honeywell’s industrial technology portfolio

Safety Suite 2.0 forms part of Honeywell’s broader portfolio of industrial automation and safety technologies. The company said the platform supports a more proactive approach to workplace safety by integrating real-time operational data with historical performance trends.
