FLEXJET ACQUIRES THE JET BUSINESS TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

Flexjet has acquired London-based aircraft brokerage and advisory firm The Jet Business, strengthening its aircraft sales and procurement capabilities while supporting its ongoing international expansion strategy.

Flexjet has announced the acquisition of London-based aircraft brokerage and advisory firm The Jet Business, expanding its capabilities in aircraft sales, procurement and advisory services as part of its wider international growth strategy.

The acquisition brings together Flexjet’s existing FXSolutions brokerage business and The Jet Business under a single global platform focused on whole-aircraft transactions. The Jet Business will continue operating under its established brand while benefiting from Flexjet’s broader infrastructure, resources and international reach.

Expanding aircraft sales and advisory capabilities

The transaction adds The Jet Business’ London-based team to Flexjet’s growing European presence, which includes its Mayfair sales centre and Tactical Control Centre at Farnborough Airport.

The acquisition also complements Flexjet’s ongoing investments in infrastructure, training, maintenance support and customer experience initiatives across North America and Europe. The company said integrating aircraft acquisition and disposition activities more closely within its operations will provide greater control over fleet quality, modernisation and lifecycle management.

Supporting fleet planning and customer services

As part of the agreement, The Jet Business will assist with sourcing aircraft entering the Flexjet fleet and managing aircraft transitioning out of service. The brokerage will provide market intelligence, transaction expertise and advisory support aimed at strengthening long-term fleet planning.

The acquisition will also support the launch of Flexjet Solutions, a new offering designed to provide aircraft owners and buyers with access to a broader range of services across the Flexjet ecosystem.

These services include operational support, pre-purchase inspections, maintenance infrastructure, aircraft-on-ground (AOG) response capabilities and turnkey aircraft management solutions.

Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s ability to manage aircraft transitions while maintaining a modern fleet.

Steve Varsano assumes new leadership role

The Jet Business founder Steve Varsano will assume a new role as President of Flexjet, focusing on international growth and product innovation.

Founded in 2011, The Jet Business is recognised for establishing what it describes as the world’s first street-level corporate aviation showroom in London and for its advisory services within the business aviation sector.

Varsano said the move creates opportunities to further develop advisory, research and customer-focused services while supporting Flexjet’s global growth ambitions.

Part of a broader international expansion strategy

Flexjet said the acquisition supports its continuing international expansion programme, which includes investment in private terminals, maintenance capabilities, training and customer support infrastructure.

The company currently operates a fleet of more than 340 private aircraft worldwide and continues to expand its operational footprint across key global markets.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
