Partnership broadens collaboration across advanced defence technologies
PARIS, FRANCE – EDGE Group and Safran have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement at Eurosatory 2026, establishing a structured framework to expand collaboration across a broader range of aerospace and defence programmes. The agreement builds on an existing relationship spanning several defence electronics and smart weapons initiatives.
EXPANDING AN ESTABLISHED PARTNERSHIP
The agreement extends cooperation beyond current programmes to include a wider range of equipment, capabilities and technical expertise. According to the companies, the expanded framework reflects changing defence requirements, including the increasing importance of unmanned systems, electronic warfare, and the need for greater resilience and autonomy in defence capabilities.
EDGE noted that the agreement comes as the company continues to strengthen its international presence, while Safran highlighted its more than three decades of operations in the United Arab Emirates as the foundation for the expanded partnership.
