Operational leadership in Finland

Aviator Airport Alliance has appointed Minna Virmajoki as Managing Director of Aviator Finland. Virmajoki joined the company in 2023 as Finance Director and most recently served as Interim Managing Director before assuming the permanent leadership role.

Before entering the aviation industry, Virmajoki built a career across several sectors, gaining experience in finance, business management and organisational leadership. Since joining Aviator Finland, she has worked closely with customers and operational teams while taking on progressively greater responsibilities within the business.

Virmajoki said her priorities include strengthening operational excellence, investing in employee development and fostering an open, collaborative culture where continuous improvement forms part of day-to-day operations.

Aviator Airport Alliance Chief Executive Officer Jo Alex Tanem said Virmajoki had demonstrated strong leadership while guiding the Finnish operation through a period of change and had earned the confidence of both customers and employees. He also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing Managing Director Kimmo Holopainen.

Aviator provides a full range of airport services at 15 airports across the Nordic region, supporting airlines including SAS, Finnair, Norwegian, Air France-KLM, Lufthansa Group, Ryanair, Wizz Air and Turkish Airlines.
