AAR and Woodward sign a multi-year agreement to distribute critical engine components, improving parts availability for commercial aviation operations.
Partnership expands access to high-demand consumables for commercial aviation engines
AAR CORP. has signed a multi-year commercial distribution agreement with Woodward to supply high-demand engine consumable parts directly to airlines.
Under the agreement, AAR will act as the preferred distributor for Woodward components including fuel filters, gaskets, and seals used in widely deployed commercial engines such as the CFM LEAP engine, GEnx engine, and CF34 engine.
FOCUS ON ENGINE RELIABILITY AND AVAILABILITY
These consumable components are critical to maintaining engine performance and operational reliability. Their availability is particularly important in time-sensitive maintenance scenarios, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
The agreement enables airlines to access Woodward parts through AAR’s global warehouse network, with the aim of improving delivery times and ensuring consistent supply.
EXPANDING AN EXISTING PARTNERSHIP
The collaboration builds on an established relationship between the two companies in the defence sector, extending distribution capabilities into the commercial aviation market.
AAR indicated that the agreement strengthens its Parts Supply segment by expanding its portfolio of components for high-growth engine programmes.
SUPPLY CHAIN EFFICIENCY IN FOCUS
The partnership reflects ongoing efforts within the aviation aftermarket sector to streamline parts distribution and reduce operational delays linked to component availability.
With modern engine programmes placing increased emphasis on efficiency and uptime, access to consumable parts has become a key factor in maintaining fleet performance.
GLOBAL AFTERMARKET POSITIONING
AAR operates in more than 20 countries, supporting commercial and government customers across parts supply, repair and engineering, and integrated solutions.
Woodward specialises in energy control and aerospace systems, supplying components designed to operate in demanding environments across both aviation and industrial sectors.
