AERO 2026 OPENS WITH RECORD EXHIBITOR PARTICIPATION

AERO 2026 opens in Friedrichshafen with a record 860 exhibitors, reflecting strong growth in general and business aviation and continued industry investment.

Strong industry momentum reflected in growth across general and business aviation sectors

AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 is set to open with a record number of exhibitors, underlining continued growth and investment across the general aviation and business aviation sectors.

Taking place from 22–25 April in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the event will host approximately 860 exhibitors from 50 countries, marking the largest participation in the show’s history.

INDUSTRY GROWTH AND MARKET MOMENTUM

The increase in exhibitor numbers reflects broader industry momentum, with strong aircraft delivery volumes and continued investment in new technologies aimed at improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

According to data presented by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the sector generated more than $35 billion in total revenue in 2025, with aircraft sales accounting for over $31 billion.

In 2025, more than 4,150 aircraft, including helicopters, were delivered globally across the general and business aviation sectors.

EXPANSION IN BUSINESS AVIATION SEGMENT

One of the notable trends at AERO 2026 is the disproportionately strong growth in the business aviation segment, reflected in increased exhibitor participation and expanded presence within the static display.

The event will also feature its largest-ever aircraft static display, showcasing a broad range of platforms across general aviation, from light aircraft and helicopters to business jets and emerging technologies.

PLATFORM FOR TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRY EXCHANGE

AERO continues to serve as a key platform for manufacturers, operators, and service providers to present developments in propulsion systems, avionics, and operational technologies.

The exhibition is complemented by a conference programme addressing industry challenges, including sustainability, safety, and the integration of new technologies into operational environments.

ROLE AS A GLOBAL GENERAL AVIATION HUB

Organised by Fairnamic GmbH, AERO has established itself as a central meeting point for the global general aviation community, bringing together stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, and regulatory sectors.

The event also provides a forum for industry dialogue, with panels and discussions addressing both current market conditions and future challenges facing aviation.
