AerCap has placed a firm order for 100 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, supporting long-term fleet requirements and improved operational efficiency.

Strategic Fleet Expansion

AerCap Holdings N.V. (AerCap) has formalised a firm order with Airbus for 100 additional A320neo Family aircraft. The transaction comprises 23 A320neo and 77 A321neo aircraft, to support the long-term requirements of the lessor’s global airline customer base. The agreement represents the largest single direct order for this aircraft type ever placed by AerCap with Airbus.

Efficiency and Modernisation

The investment aligns with AerCap’s strategy to focus on fuel-efficient technology offering improved economics and reduced emissions. According to Aengus Kelly, CEO of AerCap, the order reflects long-term demand for these aircraft to support both fleet growth and replacement requirements. Airbus EVP Sales, Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, noted that the order reflects ongoing industry focus on modern, more efficient aircraft and operations.
