Airbus Helicopters recorded 544 gross orders and delivered 392 helicopters in 2025, reflecting strong demand across civil, parapublic and military markets worldwide.
Marignane, France | 26 January 2026 — Airbus Helicopters recorded 544 gross helicopter orders (net: 536) in 2025, reflecting strong demand across its civil, parapublic and military portfolios. Orders were placed by 205 customers in 50 countries. During the year, the company delivered 392 helicopters.
In unit terms, Airbus Helicopters achieved a 51% market share in the civil and parapublic segment, while its military market share rose to 28%. The company also reported continued momentum in Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) during 2025.
Bruno Even, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters, said the near 20% increase in order intake demonstrated that the company’s modern civil and military offerings are aligned with current operational requirements. He noted a sharpened focus on defence and security, alongside progress in UAS through the integration of Survey Copter and the expansion of crewed–uncrewed teaming capabilities via HTeaming.
The year included several significant sovereign orders. Spain placed an order for 100 helicopters, comprising 50 H145Ms, 31 NH90s for all three branches of its armed forces, and the first orders for the H175M. Germany exercised an option for 20 additional H145Ms, increasing its total to 82 aircraft, with initial deliveries already completed. The NH90 programme also gained renewed momentum, with the Netherlands adding three aircraft, Greece signing a follow-on support contract, and Germany taking delivery of its first NH90 Sea Tiger variant for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare missions.
In the heavy segment, Greece ordered eight H215 helicopters for firefighting missions. The H225M programme advanced with an order for ten aircraft from Morocco and first deliveries to Iraq. In the light twin category, Spain ordered 13 H135 helicopters, while the UK National Police Air Service placed an order for seven H135s. With 149 orders in 2025, the H145 remained the best-selling platform across civil, parapublic and military markets.
At VERTICON 2025, Airbus Helicopters introduced the H140, a next-generation light twin-engine helicopter featuring a T-tail configuration. The model has already secured 61 firm orders. The Racer high-speed demonstrator also exceeded its initial performance objectives, achieving a cruise speed of 440 km/h (240 kt).
UAS capabilities were further expanded through the integration of Survey Copter. During the year, Airbus signed its first UAS contracts, with Drone Forge and the European Maritime Safety Agency selecting Flexrotor, and the French Ministry of Armed Forces ordering six VSR700 systems. Through its HTeaming solution, Airbus continues to develop crewed–uncrewed operational concepts enabling real-time control of uncrewed assets.
The H160 programme progressed with the military H160M “Guépard” completing its maiden flight in July. The H160 achieved approximately 50% market share in the civil and parapublic medium twin segment and entered service in law enforcement, firefighting and offshore energy operations. The H175 secured 15 orders in 2025, reinforcing its position in the super medium category.
To support rising demand, Airbus Helicopters continued expanding its industrial footprint. Construction began in 2025 on a new H125 Final Assembly Line in Vemagal, Karnataka, India. The facility, scheduled for inauguration in the coming weeks, will become the company’s fourth H125 assembly line globally.
Airbus will publish its full-year 2025 financial results on 19 February 2026.
