Airinmar has signed a multi-year extension to continue providing aircraft warranty management and value engineering services to Air Methods, supporting cost control across a fleet of more than 450 aircraft.
Airinmar, an AAR CORP. subsidiary and independent provider of component repair cycle management and aircraft warranty management solutions, has signed a multi-year extension of its support services agreement with Air Methods, one of the world’s largest civilian helicopter operators.
Â
The extension continues Airinmar’s provision of identification, claim, recovery and reporting services for rotorcraft and aircraft component warranties, alongside value engineering support. These services have been in place since August 2020 and are designed to complement Air Methods’ materials management activities.
Â
Airinmar’s role focuses on maximising the recovery of warranty entitlements while reducing component repair costs and the overall cost of maintenance across Air Methods’ fleet.
Â
Jay Mahen, Senior Vice President of Operations at Air Methods, said the relationship has delivered measurable benefits since implementation. He noted that Airinmar’s approach to effective warranty management and value engineering has supported Air Methods’ safety and efficiency objectives, and that the operator will continue to draw on Airinmar’s engineering knowledge to optimise its supply chain in support of 24/7/365 emergency air medical operations.
Â
Matt Davies, General Manager at Airinmar, said the company is pleased to extend its long-standing collaboration with Air Methods. He added that Airinmar will continue working closely with the operator’s materials management team to reduce maintenance costs across multiple fleet types, supporting a fleet of more than 450 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
Â
Airinmar has provided tailored component repair and warranty management support services for more than 40 years, serving airlines, MROs, OEMs, helicopter operators and military programmes. The company is a subsidiary of global aviation aftermarket specialist AAR.
Â
Air Methods operates one of the world’s largest air medical fleets, transporting more than 100,000 patients each year. With 45 years of experience, the company supports hospitals and communities through its extensive helicopter and fixed-wing operations, as well as through its United Rotorcraft products division.
