AIRX SIGNS FIRM ORDER AGREEMENT WITH EVE AIR MOBILITY FOR TWO EVTOL AIRCRAFT

Eve Air Mobility signs a binding order agreement with Japan’s AirX for up to 50 eVTOL aircraft, supporting the expansion of sustainable urban air mobility services in Japan.

Order includes options for up to 48 additional aircraft as AirX expands urban air mobility services

Singapore, 4 February 2026 — Eve Air Mobility has signed a second binding order agreement with Tokyo-based urban air mobility operator AirX for the purchase of up to 50 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The agreement includes an initial order for two aircraft, with options for up to 48 additional units. The first aircraft deliveries are expected in 2029 and are intended to support the development of sustainable urban air mobility services in Japan.

Supporting Urban Air Mobility Development in Japan

Under the agreement, AirX will integrate Eve’s eVTOL aircraft into its operations as part of its strategy to introduce zero-emission transportation solutions for urban and regional travel. The aircraft are expected to support sightseeing routes and last-mile transport missions in cities including Tokyo and Osaka.

Eve’s eVTOL platform is designed to provide safe and reliable transportation while reducing noise and emissions. The aircraft form part of Eve’s broader approach to supporting the development of the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem through aircraft development, services and air traffic management solutions.

Johann Bordais, Chief Executive Officer of Eve Air Mobility, said the agreement represents a milestone for the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region and supports the broader transition toward sustainable air transport solutions.

Kiwamu Tezuka, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AirX, said the partnership supports the company’s focus on sustainability and innovation while strengthening its position in the developing advanced air mobility market.

Growing Demand for Advanced Air Mobility

Eve noted that the agreement reflects increasing global demand for sustainable urban air mobility solutions. Megha Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer at Eve Air Mobility, said Japan is positioned to play a leading role in the adoption of advanced air mobility solutions due to its strategic focus on cleaner and more accessible transport.

Singapore Airshow Engagement

Eve Air Mobility will host a press conference during the Singapore Airshow to provide additional details on the agreement and discuss the collaboration with AirX representatives.
