ATAC SECURES F-16 CHASE FIGHTER JET SERVICES TASK ORDER

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), part of Textron Systems (NYSE: TXT), has been awarded an initial task order under the Combat Air Forces Contracted Air Services IDIQ contract to provide chase flight support for F-16 aircraft under the Department of the Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme. The task order covers a potential period of performance of up to 27 months, with a total contract value of $7.82 million across base and option years.

Under the agreement, ATAC will deploy contractor-owned and operated (COCO) aircraft to serve as chase aircraft during F-16 production test flights and product assurance missions at Donaldson Field, Greenville, South Carolina (KGYH). Flight operations are scheduled to begin in August 2025 and are expected to continue for approximately two years.

“ATAC is an industry-leader in chase flight services and adversary air training services. We have pioneered much of what are now contracted air services industry standards with a fleet of over 100 aircraft, over 105,000 flight hours, and 30 years of operating experience,” said Scott Stacy, ATAC Senior Vice President. “ATAC now provides chase and target flight services for the F-16s in Greenville, as well as the F-35 aircraft that fly from the Joint Reserve Base in Ft. Worth, Texas. We are proud to work with PMA-226, DCMA, and the Air Force and Navy in support of these critical programs. We know that these new aircraft will give pilots a decisive advantage when it counts, across the globe.”

This award marks ATAC’s second contract dedicated to Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) services, further reflecting the company’s expanding presence in the contracted air services market.
