Colombian aviation and technology company AVIATEK Group is expanding its special mission fleet with the acquisition of two Tecnam P2006T NG Special Mission Platform (SMP) aircraft, including the first of the type to be introduced in Colombia.

FLEET EXPANSION ACROSS TWO REGIONS

According to Tecnam, one of the newly acquired aircraft will support the launch of AVIATEK’s European operations under its Polish affiliate, EKOLOT. The second aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Colombia, where it will be deployed on existing special mission contracts across the Latin American region.

The company currently operates a Tecnam P2012 Sentinel aircraft in South America and is expanding its fleet to support additional operational requirements.

SPECIAL MISSION APPLICATIONS

AVIATEK stated that the P2006T NG SMP aircraft will be used for a range of missions, including aerial surveillance, environmental monitoring, risk management, disaster response and humanitarian operations.

The aircraft is delivered in a mission-ready configuration and is designed to support adaptable payloads and operational flexibility across varied environments.

AIRCRAFT CAPABILITY AND DEPLOYMENT CONTEXT

Tecnam stated that the P2006T NG SMP is intended for operations in diverse geographical and climatic conditions, including coastal and tropical environments. The aircraft is configured to support multi-role missions requiring endurance and operational flexibility.

The introduction of the aircraft into Colombia represents the first deployment of the P2006T NG platform in the country.

OPERATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

AVIATEK indicated that the fleet expansion supports its ongoing development of special mission aviation services and its broader operational footprint across Latin America and Europe.
