ATAC RECEIVES 13TH CONSECUTIVE FAA DIAMOND AWARD FOR MAINTENANCE TRAINING

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) has been awarded the 2025 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William “Bill” O’Brien Diamond Award of Excellence, marking its 13th consecutive year receiving the recognition.

RECOGNITION FOR TECHNICIAN TRAINING COMPLIANCE

The FAA Diamond Award recognises organisations that achieve full participation in its Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) training programme. According to ATAC, the award reflects its maintenance team’s compliance with both initial and recurrent training requirements.

The company states that all eligible technicians must individually obtain an FAA AMT Certificate of Training at Bronze, Silver or Gold level for the organisation to qualify for the award.

MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS SUPPORTING DEFENCE TRAINING

ATAC conducts tactical airborne training operations from eight permanent locations and additional deployment sites across the continental United States, Hawaii and the Western Pacific. The company provides contracted air support services to the U.S. Department of Defense, including training for Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force personnel.

According to ATAC, its maintenance workforce includes a combination of former U.S. military personnel and civilian aviation maintenance technicians.

FOCUS ON TRAINING STANDARDISATION

The company stated that its continued recognition is linked to its focus on maintaining training consistency and adherence to regulatory requirements across its maintenance operations.

ATAC noted that sustained compliance with FAA training standards forms part of its operational framework supporting flight training and readiness activities.
