Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed a new order for 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy and further strengthening its position as the largest lessor customer for the 737-10 variant.
The order, announced in Seattle on 13 January 2026, comprises 25 737-8 and 25 737-10 aircraft. With this latest purchase, ACG doubles its existing 737-10 commitments and becomes the single largest lessor customer for the aircraft type.
The transaction increases ACG’s total Boeing 737 MAX order book to 121 aircraft, including 50 firm orders for the 737-10.
Deliveries are scheduled to support customer growth over an extended period, with aircraft positions available from 2026 through to 2033.
“This order for additional 737 MAX aircraft enhances the strategic value of ACG’s order book, supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to the latest fuel-efficient aircraft technology,” said Thomas Baker, Chief Executive Officer and President of ACG. He added that the combination of the 737-8 and 737-10 will allow ACG to offer flexibility and continuity to its global airline customer base.
Boeing welcomed the repeat order as a strong endorsement of the programme. Brad McMullen, Boeing Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing, said the expanded commitment reflects confidence in the 737-10 and its appeal to operators worldwide, while further deepening the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
The 737 MAX family continues to attract strong interest from the leasing community, offering efficiency and route flexibility for short- and medium-haul operations. Lessors have now ordered nearly 1,300 737 MAX aircraft, accounting for approximately one fifth of the programme’s total backlog.
ACG remains one of the world’s leading aircraft asset managers, with approximately 470 owned, managed and committed aircraft as of September 2025. Its portfolio supports around 90 airline customers across 50 countries, underscoring the lessor’s global reach and influence in the commercial aviation market.
