BGS EXPANDS FUELING PARTNERSHIP WITH WIZZ AIR IN THE BALTICS

Baltic Ground Services has expanded its fueling partnership with Wizz Air, supporting operations across key Baltic airports.

PARTNERSHIP EXTENDED

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Wizz Air, extending aircraft fueling services across multiple Baltic airports.

The agreement covers operations at Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga, supporting Wizz Air’s growing regional network.

LONG-TERM COOPERATION

The relationship between the two companies dates back to 2011, when initial fuel supply agreements were signed. Since then, cooperation has expanded in line with Wizz Air’s increasing presence in the Baltic region.

Wizz Air continues to develop its Lithuanian network, including routes connecting Vilnius to destinations such as Tallinn, Helsinki, and Paris.

SUPPORTING OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

BGS noted that the extended agreement reflects the importance of consistent and reliable fueling services in supporting airline operations across multiple stations.

From Wizz Air’s perspective, stable ground handling partnerships remain a key component in maintaining operational efficiency and enabling network growth across the region.

REGIONAL NETWORK CONTEXT

Wizz Air currently operates an extensive network in the Baltics, including more than 24 routes from Lithuania and multiple services from Tallinn, supported by based aircraft in the region.

The continued cooperation with BGS is intended to support operational continuity as the airline expands its footprint in Northern and Eastern Europe.

INDUSTRY POSITIONING

BGS operates at multiple airports across Central and Eastern Europe as part of Avia Solutions Group, which provides a range of aviation services including ACMI, maintenance, training, and ground handling.

The partnership highlights the role of integrated service providers in supporting airline operations across geographically dispersed networks.
