Bombardier accelerates construction of its new Abu Dhabi service centre at Al Bateen Executive Airport, advancing its global aftermarket expansion and strengthening support capabilities in the Middle East.
Bombardier has announced strong progress on its new state-of-the-art service centre at Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI), marking an important step in its strategy to expand its global aftermarket footprint. Construction is advancing rapidly, with the structural framework of the main building and hangar now rising. The facility remains on schedule to open in the second half of 2026 and is set to become a flagship hub for the Middle East.
Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President, Bombardier Aftermarket Services and Strategy, said the emerging facility stands as a clear symbol of the company’s commitment to delivering world-class maintenance capabilities across the region. “At Bombardier, our priority is to be our customers’ most trusted ally throughout their aviation journey. We strive to make every service experience seamless, guided by care, convenience, and confidence. This new service centre stands as a powerful testament to that commitment—further reinforced by our No. 1 ranking in product support for two consecutive years.”
Covering approximately 120,000 square feet, the new service centre will include a 55,000 square-foot hangar, a dedicated parts depot, and a full suite of maintenance offerings. These will range from scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance to aircraft modifications and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support. The facility will accommodate Bombardier’s newest aircraft, the Global 8000, along with the full Learjet, Challenger, and Global families.
Once operational, the Abu Dhabi site will create around 100 highly skilled jobs, reinforcing Bombardier’s long-term presence in the emirate and complementing its existing Dubai Line Maintenance Station. The project aligns with the Al Bateen Executive Airport Masterplan, which aims to enhance the airport’s status as a premier business aviation hub through upgraded infrastructure, expanded capabilities, and advanced service offerings.
The new UAE facility forms part of Bombardier’s broader global strategy to strengthen customer support and provide world-class service. Alongside this Middle Eastern expansion, the company has also launched a multi-phase growth initiative in the United States. This includes a new service facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana, introduced earlier this year, and the recent unveiling of a state-of-the-art paint shop at London-Biggin Hill.
These investments highlight Bombardier’s focus on delivering comprehensive aftermarket solutions and ensuring greater convenience for customers worldwide.
