Schönau/Wessling, 15 January 2026 — COMTRONIC GmbH, a member of MAFELEC Team based in Schönau, Germany, has been selected by Deutsche Aircraft to supply the complete Overhead Panel for the 40-seat D328eco regional turboprop.

With nearly five decades of experience in aerospace Human–Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, COMTRONIC is recognised for its work in illuminated panels, custom keypads and advanced optical technologies supporting modern cockpits and mission-critical systems. The selection reinforces COMTRONIC’s role in cockpit modernisation programmes.

Driving cockpit modernisation
The Overhead Panel forms a core part of the D328eco cockpit architecture, bringing together essential systems within an intuitive, pilot-focused layout. COMTRONIC’s solution draws on optical engineering and robust design practices intended to deliver reliability and precision under demanding operational conditions.

Scope of supply
COMTRONIC’s package for the D328eco will include:
- Illuminated panels and sub-panels with optimised day and night readability
- Custom control units and keypads tailored to the D328eco cockpit
- Advanced optical and photometric engineering, providing uniform illumination, anti-glare performance and optional NVIS compatibility
- Full qualification documentation in line with RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD and applicable aerospace certification requirements
- Programme support and technical assistance throughout development and industrial ramp-up
A strategic collaboration
Commenting on the award, Gilles Heinrich, President of MAFELEC Team, and Ludivine Danger, Aerospace Sales Director at COMTRONIC, said the contract reflects strong alignment between the two organisations. They noted that COMTRONIC’s expertise in high-uniformity illuminated panels and custom control units meets Deutsche Aircraft’s requirements for ergonomics, reliability and performance.
