DERCO AWARDED C-130 AVIATION CONSUMABLES LOGISTICS CONTRACT

Derco, a Lockheed Martin company, has secured a major new performance-based logistics contract to support the long-standing C-130 Hercules fleet, reinforcing its role in mission readiness and sustainment innovation.

MILWAUKEE, Jan., 2026 – Derco has been awarded the C-130 Aviation Consumables Performance Based Logistics (ACPBL) contract by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), marking a significant milestone in the company’s more than 45-year history supporting the aerospace and defence sectors.

The award represents the first outcome-based programme between the DLA and Lockheed Martin under this initiative and underscores a shared focus on accelerating mission readiness through performance-driven sustainment services.

Under the contract, Derco will provide critical support to the C-130 programme, ensuring the availability of essential spare parts and sustaining aircraft readiness. The scope of work includes performance-based support for new C-130 consumables, encompassing demand forecasting, inventory management, warehousing, engineering support and the deployment of field service representatives.

Kathy Medalle, Derco president and general manager, highlighted the collaborative nature of the programme, noting the shared mission to maintain high material availability and drive mission capability rates in support of warfighter readiness. The contract reflects the long-standing working relationship between the DLA and Lockheed Martin, built on a joint commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

The agreement also reinforces Derco’s commitment to delivering innovative sustainment solutions while supporting the growth of small businesses within the defence supply chain, contributing to national safety and security.

The Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules remains a cornerstone of military aviation, having served for more than seven decades across a wide range of roles, including tactical airlift, humanitarian assistance and special operations. With mission demands remaining high, Derco’s support under the ACPBL contract plays a key role in sustaining the aircraft’s operational effectiveness for the Defence Logistics Agency and its global operators.
