DEUTSCHE AIRCRAFT PRESENTS INTEGRATED UNCREWED CAPABILITY FOR MULTI-ROLE OPERATIONS

Deutsche Aircraft has unveiled an integrated uncrewed aircraft capability designed to complement its D328MR multi-role platform, supporting surveillance, disaster response and other governmental missions.

Deutsche Aircraft has introduced an integrated uncrewed aircraft capability at ILA Berlin 2026, expanding its portfolio to support a range of civil and governmental multi-role missions.

The company said the uncrewed system is a mature, fully developed platform that complements its existing crewed aircraft offering. Deutsche Aircraft’s role focuses on market introduction, production enablement and system integration as part of a broader operational capability package.

Designed to complement the D328MR

The uncrewed aircraft has been developed to support and extend the operational effectiveness of the D328MR multi-role aircraft.

According to Deutsche Aircraft, the D328MR remains the primary mission platform, while the uncrewed system serves as a complementary asset for operations requiring extended reach, greater persistence and reduced operational risk.

The concept is intended to provide additional flexibility for operators undertaking complex governmental and civil missions.

Supporting a range of mission profiles

The integrated capability is aimed at several operational applications, including:

  • Maritime and border surveillance
  • Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions
  • Disaster response and civil protection operations
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Search and rescue support

The company said the combination of crewed and uncrewed platforms allows operators to deploy capabilities according to specific mission requirements.

Industrial collaboration and regulatory alignment

The uncrewed capability is being deployed in collaboration with Sierra Nevada Corporation. Deutsche Aircraft said the partnership supports alignment with German and European regulatory requirements while meeting public-sector demands for interoperable and reliable systems.

Frederic Fischer, Director Product Roadmap & Innovation at Deutsche Aircraft, said crewed and uncrewed systems each have distinct roles and can be combined to enhance operational effectiveness and mission flexibility.

Expanding the multi-role portfolio

The introduction of the uncrewed capability forms part of Deutsche Aircraft’s broader strategy to expand the operational scope of the D328MR platform and provide additional mission solutions for government and civil operators.

The company presented the capability during ILA Berlin 2026 as part of its ongoing focus on innovation and multi-role aircraft development
