DEUTSCHE AIRCRAFT TO PRESENT MULTI-ROLE AVIATION PORTFOLIO AT ILA BERLIN 2026

Deutsche Aircraft will showcase its D328MR multi-role aircraft and expanding uncrewed aviation portfolio at ILA Berlin 2026, highlighting integrated mission capabilities for public-sector and governmental operations.

Deutsche Aircraft will present its expanding multi-role aviation portfolio at ILA Berlin 2026, showcasing a combination of crewed and uncrewed platforms designed to support governmental and mission-critical operations. The company describes the exhibition as its most comprehensive presentation to date, centred on European-developed solutions for public-sector aviation requirements.

D328MR AT THE CENTRE OF THE SHOWCASE

At the core of the display will be the D328® Multi Role (MR), a civil-certified, commercial off-the-shelf aircraft developed to support a wide range of public-sector missions. Deutsche Aircraft says the platform is designed to provide operational flexibility while maintaining the benefits of civilian certification and established in-service support.

In cooperation with EASP AIR, the D328 Multi-Role Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) will be exhibited on static display during the event. The aircraft will be presented alongside an autonomous refuelling pod, demonstrating capabilities intended to support a variety of maritime and multi-role operational requirements. The aircraft remains part of the active D328 fleet and is supported through Deutsche Aircraft’s global customer support network.

EXPANDING INTO UNCREWED CAPABILITIES

The company will also introduce a new uncrewed aircraft capability designed to complement the D328MR platform. According to Deutsche Aircraft, the system forms part of a broader mission offering for civil and governmental operators and is intended to extend mission reach and endurance in operational environments.

The company stated that the uncrewed aircraft capability is already a developed product within its portfolio, with current efforts focused on industrialisation, production, capability integration and commercial delivery.

SUPPORTING PUBLIC-SECTOR OPERATIONS

Deutsche Aircraft says the D328MR has been optimised for a variety of demanding operational environments, including surveillance, emergency response, humanitarian assistance, environmental protection and border control missions. The platform builds on the heritage of the Dornier 328 programme while addressing evolving European public-sector requirements.

The company envisions a manned-unmanned operational concept in which the D328MR serves as the primary mission platform while the uncrewed system extends coverage and persistence. Potential applications include maritime surveillance, border security, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and search-and-rescue operations.

EUROPEAN INDUSTRIAL SOVEREIGNTY

According to Deutsche Aircraft, both the crewed and uncrewed systems are manufactured in Germany under the Deutsche Aircraft Group, supporting European industrial capability, long-term lifecycle support and technology retention.

At ILA Berlin 2026, the company will exhibit at the BDLI Joint Pavilion, highlighting mission adaptability, interoperability and integrated operational concepts across its portfolio. Demonstrations and briefings will include D328MR mission applications, digital mission scenarios, crewed and uncrewed integration concepts, and lifecycle support capabilities.
