On Sunday, Egypt’s Civil Aviation Minister, Sameh el-Hefny, expressed his appreciation for South Sudan’s participation in Egypt’s International Airshow 2024. The event, which showcases the latest innovations in aviation, provided a platform for expanding ties between Egypt and South Sudan in the aviation sector.
In a meeting with South Sudanese Transport Minister Madut Biar Yel, Hefny reiterated Egypt’s commitment to supporting Arab nations through the exchange of expertise and specialized training programs in civil aviation. He emphasized Egypt’s role in fostering collaboration and capacity building across the region.

During their discussion, the ministers explored opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations, including the possibility of launching a new air freight line between Cairo and Juba, South Sudan’s capital. Both parties agreed to continue their dialogue and coordination in the coming months to address challenges and explore ways to enhance cooperation in the aviation sector.
